Vinyl Flooring FAQs

Where is your vinyl flooring from? +

Our vinyl flooring is a result of international design excellence and advanced engineering, much like how an iPhone is designed in California and made in China, or Samsung is Korean-designed and China-manufactured.

Vinyl flooring can be used in an outdoor, temperature-controlled environment. How long is your warranty for Vinyl Flooring? +

Up to 35 years for Vinyl Material and Lifetime Workmanship Warranty.

  • Vinyl Material Warranty Duration: 35 Years
  • Coverage: Our vinyl materials are warranted for a period of 35 years from the date of purchase. This warranty is designed to assure you of our product's durability and long-lasting quality under normal household use.
The warranty specifically covers scenarios where the flooring may contract, expand, curl, crack, rip, or tear during typical usage. However, it does not cover damages related to construction activities, improper installation, or harm caused by sharp cutting objects. These exclusions ensure that the warranty focuses on manufacturing quality and durability under normal conditions.

Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

Scope of Warranty:
  • Vinyl Integrity: This lifetime warranty specifically covers any separation of vinyl causing gaps or expansion leading to warping. It also includes instances where contraction leads to separation of vinyl by more than 5mm.
  • Labor Costs: For any issues that fall under this warranty, we will not charge any labour fees. Our commitment is to resolve these concerns without additional labour costs to you.

Service Fees:
  • Vinyl Replacement: In cases requiring vinyl replacement, we apply a nominal service fee of $80 per piece. This fee covers the expenses for our expert team's site visit, ensuring prompt and efficient service.

Exclusions:
  • Sharp Object Damage: We do not cover damage such as scratches or punctures that are caused by sharp objects.
  • Water Damage: Damages resulting from water seepage through wall edges due to plumbing or pipe issues are not included under this warranty.

What is skirting? +

For vinyl flooring, skirting mainly finishes and protects the edge where the flooring meets the wall.
Covers the expansion gap left around the perimeter of the vinyl/SPC flooring.
Gives a neat finished look so you do not see uneven flooring cuts along the wall.
Protects the bottom of the wall from kicks, vacuum cleaners, mopping and minor impact.
Helps conceal small gaps or uneven wall edges at floor level.

For floating SPC/vinyl flooring, an expansion gap is important because the flooring can expand and contract slightly.
The skirting covers this gap without restricting the flooring movement.

Are PVC skirting boards any good? +

PVC skirting boards are cost-effective, durable, easy to clean, and ideal for high-traffic areas including rooms used by children.

How is PVC skirting installed and what are its benefits? +

PVC skirting is installed by gluing it to the wall with a PVC adhesive. It's solid, durable, rot-resistant, and reduces static and noise.

What are the different types of vinyl flooring trimming/capping/transition profile? +

There are three main types of vinyl trimming/capping/transition profile:

  • L Capping / L Trimming – Used for finishing and protecting the exposed edge of vinyl flooring, especially at staircases, kerbs, platforms, raised areas, or floor edges. It provides a neat and clean edge finish.
  • T Capping / T Trimming – Used as a transition between two different colours or designs of vinyl flooring at the same floor level. It can also be used for a tile-to-vinyl transition when both finishes are at the same height.
  • G Capping / G Trimming – Used for a tile-to-vinyl transition, particularly when the vinyl flooring finishes against or overlaps the top edge of the tiled floor. It helps cover and protect the joint while providing a neat finished appearance.
